Nielsen Shuts the Door on P.R.I.S.M.

In-Store Marketing Institute reported today that The Nielsen Company “has suspended plans to launch a syndicated data service on the P.R.I.S.M. initiative.”  P.R.I.S.M. was expected to be the missing link in shopper marketing between practice and quantitative results.

Miller Zell Study Verifies that Shoppers Are Trading Down and Eating In

The results of the Miller Zell’s 2009 Shopper Behavior Survey were presented this morning at the National Retail Federation Big Show Expo in New York in a joint presentation between the company and Unilever North America.

Delivering the Promise of Shopper Marketing

The Association of Food, Beverage and Consumer Products Companies (GMA) joined with Deloitte to research the the growth of the shopper marketing trend amongst CPG manufacturers and retailers. The study found that “seventy-three percent of participating CPG manufacturers and 86% of retailers ranked shopper-marketing programs among the top four activities that deliver meaningful return on investment.”
